Biography

Emily Reynolds serves as the Admissions Coordinator for the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business at Belmont University.

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Emily was deeply involved in musical theatre, show choir, and voice lessons throughout high school, fostering a lifelong love for the performing arts. This foundation led her to pursue a Communication degree with a Public Relations concentration at Mississippi State University. At MSU, Emily discovered her passion for higher education through serving as a tour guide and interning with the Office of Admissions and Scholarships.

After graduating in 2020, Emily worked at Oxford-University United Methodist Church in Oxford, Mississippi, where she managed social media content planning, coordinated guests and wrote show notes for the church's podcast, and helped plan events for the college ministry. This role deepened Emily's love for working with students and higher education professionals while providing valuable experience in media production and digital content strategy.

Emily and her husband moved to Nashville in 2022, where she began working as an Admissions Counselor at Belmont for the Southeast region. In this role, she developed a particular passion for working with students interested in music and entertainment programs. As an avid lover of music, film, television, and books, Emily took every opportunity to further connect with the Curb College by helping with visit days and facility tours for prospective families.

Now in the Curb College, Emily is excited to help students navigate their own creative paths, combining her admissions expertise with her deep appreciation for the entertainment industry and commitment to mentoring the next generation of creative professionals. Outside of work, Emily enjoys attending concerts with her husband and friends, discovering new titles at Nashville's independent bookstores, and exploring the city's many coffee shops.
