Semester & Academic Year Study Abroad Programs

For a deeper cultural experience, Belmont’s semester and year-long study abroad programs allow students to live and study internationally while earning full Belmont credit. Participants remain enrolled at Belmont and can typically apply their financial aid and scholarships. Whether choosing a structured program through a provider or a more independent exchange or direct-enroll option, students gain valuable global perspective. Sophomores and juniors have the greatest flexibility, making this an ideal time to align study abroad with academic goals and personal interests.

Short-Term, Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs

(Spring Break, Maymester and Summer)
Belmont’s short-term study abroad programs let students experience immersive international travel in anywhere from 1–4 weeks. Led by Belmont faculty and joined by fellow students, these Spring Break, Maymester and Summer programs combine Belmont coursework with hands-on global learning. Many programs count toward general education/BELL Core requirements, while many are tailored to specific majors or minors. These faculty-led experiences offer a perfect introduction to studying abroad, with built-in support and enriching, credit-bearing adventures.
